Job Description

Superintendent Pharmacist - North County Cork
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Supervising Pharmacist to join our independently owned pharmacy located in North County Cork. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and patient-focused environment. The role involves working 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with no late nights and no weekend shifts.

As a Supervising Pharmacist, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with patients, suppliers, and the local community to foster customer loyalty.
  • Dispensing prescriptions efficiently and accurately while adhering to all regulatory and professional standards.
  • Monitoring stock levels and liaising with suppliers to ensure the availability of required medications.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborating with the pharmacy owners to ensure the store operates effectively and meets performance goals.
  • Performing other day-to-day duties as required to maintain the smooth running of the pharmacy.
You will work alongside a dedicated healthcare team committed to delivering excellent patient care to the local community.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSc Pharm) or Master of Pharmacy (MPharm).
  • Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong time management skills to handle a busy dispensary environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and team members.
Your typical day will involve:
  • Dispensing medications and providing expert advice to patients.
  • Managing stock levels and ensuring the dispensary is well-organized.
  • Building rapport with patients and addressing their healthcare needs.
  • Collaborating with the team to maintain a high standard of service.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and professional requirements.
