Director of Nurse Education, Cork City

Cpl Healthcare is delighted to partner with a leading Cork hospital to recruit for a Director of Nurse Education.

This is a key strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the hospital's nursing education vision and strategy. Reporting within the senior nursing leadership structure, the successful candidate will provide direction and oversight of nursing education programmes, ensuring the continued development of a highly skilled nursing workforce and the delivery of exceptional patient care.

The Director of Nurse Education will drive innovation, research, professional development and evidence-based practice while ensuring compliance with national and international quality and accreditation standards. You will provide leadership and oversight of undergraduate, postgraduate, and adaptation nurse education programmes and foster a culture of continuous learning, research, innovation, and professional development.

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Registration in the General Division of the Register maintained by the NMBI.
• A Master's degree (essential).
• Minimum 10 years post-reg nursing experience within an acute healthcare setting.
• Minimum 5 years nursing management experience at Clinical Nurse Manager II level or above.
• At least 3 years' experience operating at a strategic leadership level within a large acute healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of the Irish healthcare system, nurse education frameworks and quality management standards.
• A proven track record in nursing education, research, innovation and service development.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams responsible for nursing education and professional development programmes.
