Dovida Caregivers provide a variety of non-medical home care services which support, empower and uplift people, and help them to remain living at home. As a Dovida caregiver, you’ll provide essential support to ageing adults and people living with disability in their own homes. These services are person-centred, tailored to clients’ requirements, and delivered on flexible schedules. These services generally fall under three categories: &nbsp;<ul><li>Companionship</li><li>Home Help</li><li>Personal Care</li></ul> Companionship Companionship services are those that stimulate, encourage and assist an individual with their social needs. Companionship services generally include:<ul><li>Providing companionship and conversation.</li><li>Providing stabilisation and assistance with walking.</li><li>Preparing meals and cleaning up after meals.</li><li>Providing medication reminders and appointment reminders.</li></ul> Home Help Home Help services generally involve light housekeeping, errands or incidental transportation, including:<ul><li>Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms,</li></ul>kitchens etc). &nbsp;<ul><li>Washing and ironing laundry.</li><li>Running errands.</li><li>Accompanying clients to appointments.</li></ul> Personal Care Personal Care services often include assistance with activities of daily living, such as:<ul><li>Assisting with bathing and showering.</li><li>Assisting with dressing and grooming.</li><li>Assisting with personal hygiene, toileting and incontinence care.</li></ul> Additional Caregiver Responsibilities These include the following:<ul><li>Act as a key member of our clients’ Circle of Care.</li><li>Document daily activities and report any significant changes or concerns in a client’s needs, living conditions, mental,</li></ul>physical or emotional condition. &nbsp;<ul><li>Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client’s quality of life.</li><li>Regularly communicate with your supervisor and office employee.</li><li>Use equipment and supplies as necessary, safely and properly in accordance with internal policies, practices and</li></ul>procedures. &nbsp;<ul><li>Report hours of work according to office policy.</li><li>Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.</li></ul> Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications These include the following:<ul><li>Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.</li><li>Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations.</li><li>Ability to communicate with clients and family members in a friendly and congenial manner.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentially regarding client information.</li><li>Requirement to run errands and provide incidental transportation for a client.</li><li>Be consistently highly motivated and enthusiastic.</li><li>Physically fit to carry out demands of the role. Ability to perform manual tasks.</li><li>Ability to work a variety of care visit times, including overnights.</li><li>Excellent time-keeping and attendance.</li></ul>Desirable Experience, Skills and Qualifications &nbsp;<ul><li>QQI qualification in care or working towards it.</li><li>Full driving licence with access to a vehicle.</li><li>Previous experience as a Caregiver.</li></ul>
