Are you interested in working in a centre of excellence with high standards of care, research and training? Great Ormond Street Hospital is a world renowned tertiary centre treating children and young people.
We have funding for a new B7 post in neuro-oncology to join the established neuro team. We are looking for an experienced paediatric occupational therapist to join our neurology and cancer services. You should have substantial post qualification experience within a paediatric neurology caseload.

You will be expected to provide assessment, rehabilitation, advice and referral and family support for inpatients under the care of the neurologists and oncologists. Patients have complex conditions, such as neuro-metabolic disorders, brain and spinal tumours, acquired brain injury & epilepsy. The service is a multidisciplinary service and you will be expected to be able to work closely with colleagues and report your assessments to the wider team verbally and in writing.

The post is supervised and managed by the Clinical Specialist (band 8a) OT in Neurology & Neurosurgery. The post holder will supervise and support the Band 6 OT in cancer services and student OTs.

You would be joining an Occupational Therapy team of 28 staff. The new oncology team will comprise two part time B7 OTs and a B6 OT and will work closely with colleagues in other disciplines. Training from other specialists and participation in research & audit is actively encouraged as well as our links with UCL and their library facilities. We have a flexible and robust supervision, continuing professional development structure and regular in-service training for personal and professional development.
