Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist
9 month short term contract
Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, Ealing East and West Recovery Teams (Band 7)
Covering maternity leave (9 months): a unique and very exciting job opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced occupational therapist with leadership and mental health experience to develop their skills as a senior practitioner and clinical lead for occupational therapy within the Ealing recovery teams. We are offering ideally a full time post, but part time hours could be offered to the right candidate.
As clinical lead occupational therapist, you will develop and oversee the provision of an evidence-based occupational therapy service within the borough of Ealing in collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical teams, the occupational therapy team and service users. Leading a small occupational therapy team you will provide managerial and clinical leadership in line with the changing service developments within the directorate. The clinical teams in the two bases in Ealing have a track record of developing innovative multi-disciplinary approaches to improving service users' health and wellbeing using a variety of evidence based interventions and your expert support and guidance will be a key part of this. You will take responsibility for supporting the Professional Lead Occupational Therapist and Head of VRS in the management and co-ordination of the occupational therapy Service. As a senior practitioner you will also be expected to support the recovery team managers in their absence.
West London NHS Trust provides a full range of mental health, community and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.
We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.
