Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Research Fellow (Higher) in Anaesthesia/Intensive Care or Neurosurgery working on a clinical trial for a period of 12-24 months commencing on 06 August 2019
The post holder will be responsible for identifying eligible clinical research participants in conjunction with the clinical team and principal investigator, provision of information and support to patients/participants, study recruitment and consent, delivery of study treatment/ interventions, study specific tasks, assessing, developing and implementing specialist care and data collection according to study protocols in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice, EU Clinical Trials legislation and the NHS research governance framework, recruitment and delivery of a clinical trial investigating the effects of NK1 inhibition in traumatic brain injury.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of appointment is required.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
