ASSOCIATE GENERAL MANAGER
Join us in expanding world-class private patient services at St Bartholomew’s Hospital
Your expertise, experience and vision will be our building blocks to success – come and work with us to develop our private patient services at St Bartholomew’s hospital.
St Bartholomew’s hospital – the site for this post - is the oldest hospital in Europe and was founded in 1123. It is an internationally renowned teaching hospital situated in the City of London. In our recent CQC inspection we achieved good across all domains and outstanding for the well-led domain. The hospital provides a range of specialist services.
Whilst we have a long history, we have a relatively new hospital - having been rebuilt over the last ten years. The final phase was completed in October 2016. The main hospital King George V is now a state of the art building and provides an excellent facility for our patients, carers and staff. The Barts Heart Centre is a state of the art cardiovascular centre which opened in Spring 2015 and is the focus of much of our private patient activity.
Private Patient Services gives private patients from the UK and overseas access to the world-class services provided on the St Bartholomew’s. Profits from these services are reinvested back into the Trust to support staff development and the provision of NHS care. Private income has grown significantly, in just a few years. We have ambitions to grow this further at both the Barts Heart Centre and more widely, building on our international reputation for excellence in patient care, research and education. The hospital also has other related developments happening; this is an opportunity to be involved in exciting and evolving work.
