AWP Trust is pleased to offer this very exciting opportunity to join a Multi-Centre research team investigating how virtual reality can help transform the lives of people with psychosis.
You should be passionate and committed to developing psychological approaches for people with distressing threat beliefs ('paranoia) that make it hard for them to get on with their lives.
You will be responsible for AWP's involvement in the gameChange trial testing automated virtual reality treatment for people with psychosis.
The position is open to individuals with a Clinical Psychology background, ideally with experience of research. They should have the ability to organize and manage multiple interlinked components of the project and their work. You will need to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and be able to conduct interviews, assessment and treatment with potentially vulnerable individuals. Most importantly, you will need to be enthusiastic about the research area and have a high level of motivation and commitment.
The post holder will be located with the Trust's Research and Development Team (Bristol) but will be required to travel throughout the Trust in order to recruit to the trial. Please see local information sheet, job description and person specification for more detailed information about the post.
This is a fixed term contract for the duration of the trial (ending early 2021). If you already work within AWP this post will be offered as a secondment. Please liaise and gain approval from your current line manager before applying.
