Are you a flexible, autonomous clinician who can adapt quickly to new situations and provide high level clinical care? We are looking to appoint a Peripatetic Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry.
This post offers the perfect opportunity to gain experience, broaden your knowledge and learn new skills in different psychiatry settings within the security of a substantive post.
On appointment your first post will be Bristol based, managing inpatients under the care of the full time Consultants across the Inpatient/PICU wards at Callington Road Hospital.
This is a career grade post and includes one hour per week protected supervision time with the Consultant. Attendance at the weekly postgraduate programme at Callington Road Hospital is encouraged. A Peer group for Specialty Doctors is available and the doctor will be expected to attend this regularly. There are opportunities to continue professional development and study leave to this end is supported.
There are also opportunities to develop a special interest in clinical work, current examples being dual diagnosis, psychotherapy, liaison and eating disorders.
You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, be flexible in your approach, and show you can work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
