King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust part of King's Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC), is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals with a turnover of nearly £1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 11,500 staff based across 5 main sites in South East London.
The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) site in Camberwell and the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley.
The successful candidates will join the Band 5 rotation scheme which works across the Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington Hospital and Beckenham Beacon sites as part of Kings College Hospital NHS Trust.
The post holder will rotate on a four monthly basis between the clinical areas of:
Critical Care and Surgery, Respiratory, Acute Medicine, Elderly Care, Neurology (including Stroke, Neuro step down) Orthopaedics (elective and trauma) and Musculoskeletal Outpatients.
Continuing professional development is encouraged through the appraisal system and there is a well-established in-service education programme.
We are looking for enthusiastic Physiotherapists looking to start or progress their Physiotherapy career to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills and will have wide ranging undergraduate student Physiotherapy experience. You will be working alongside Senior Physiotherapists and Clinical Leads, and will be encouraged and supported to develop your Physiotherapy skills.
The Post Holder will be expected to join and partake in our overnight emergency on call rota and weekend working rotas at the Princess Royal University Hospital.
The Post Holder will be expected to work as part of a seven day rota and extended hours during some of the rotations.Applicants should have at least completed a Physiotherapy degree course and be awaiting confirmation of degree status and have HCPC registration pending imminently, if not already hold HCPC registration.Please note that this post is for rotations at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington Hospital and Beckenham Beacon Hospitala nd the post holder will not rotate to the Denmark Hill site.
