Do you have a recognised BSc Honours degree in physiotherapy or equivalent, a broad NHS post graduate experience in a rotational post in an acute setting and a keen desire to develop specialist acute paediatric skills?
This part time static post is an excellent opportunity to develop your physiotherapy skills working with children and young people in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You'll contribute to the day to day management, co-ordination and provision of the physiotherapy inpatient and outpatient services for children and young people referred with conditions such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematous, hypermobility, biomechanical joint pain and chronic pain. You will run tailored one to one hydrotherapy sessions for some patients on your caseload.
You will work within a specialist multi-professional, integrated AHP team with the support from senior clinicians to develop your expertise in these areas.
You should have sound clinical skills and be a good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You should have experience of training and supervising junior members of staff and students.
You will be required to support the respiratory on call and weekend/bank holiday service and experience of respiratory on call is essential. There is also the opportunity to work on the major trauma service at weekends/bank holidays.
