We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to work within the Cardiology Directorate in the Manchester Royal Infirmary. As an assistant medical Secretary you will be responsible for supporting the clinical teams with regards to administration tasks, setting up and managing clinics, booking, cancelling and re-arranging patient appointments as necessary and providing exemplary customer service to our patients.
Excellent communication and organisation skills are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team and under the pressure of deadlines. You will be closely working with a number of clinicians to provide a high quality secretarial service and take pride in the work that you do.
Previous knowledge of working in a relevant hospital based role and/or in a secretarial role is essential. An understanding of National NHS waiting time targets would be desirable.
