King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and well-organized Junior Medical Secretary/Admin Assistant to join the Orthopaedic team based at the Denmark Hill site. You will be responsible for providing an effective administrative service to the Virtual Fracture Clinic. This is a full time post.

The post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to be a part of a busy team. The work involves processing clinic letters, booking of appointments, liaising with internal as well as external providers. You will be dealing with incoming queries and day-to-day administrative duties. The successful candidate must be able to work well in a team, take instructions from several sources and as well as having excellent communication and organizational skills. Previous experience of performing administrative duties in an NHS or private hospital setting is desirable.

We are looking for someone who can multitask, has strong admin abilities and can prioritize their own workload. The successful candidate will have intermediate to advanced skills using I.T. packages, have an excellent telephone manner with strong problem solving skills and the ability to take clear messages and perform general office duties.

The successful candidate will have a good general education with the equivalent of GCSE in English at Grade A-C (or equivalent work based experience) and have a keen eye for detail. They will become part of a small team playing an instrumental part in the smooth running of the service and therefore a positive attitude and flexibility is essential. A willingness to learn and develop skills will be positively encouraged.
