Clinical Services

Within the Trust, the clinical services run by the department include two components: Adult Primary Immunodeficiency (PID) and Adult Allergy.

This service is supported by a Specialist Immunology Nurse who coordinates the home therapy immunoglobulin programme and immunoglobulin infusion service within the Programmed Investigation Unit, where there is a dedicated infusion nurse.

The Adult Allergy service, also established in 2001, includes outpatient clinics, allergen challenges and immunotherapy, and is also supported by the Clinical Nurse Specialist.
