Job Description

An opportunity has arisen in the Older Peoples Psychology Services for West Kent.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed clinical/counselling psychologist to join our well established and dynamic service for people over the age of sixty five who live in West Kent.

The post holder will be primarily based at Baytree House in Maidstone, Kent with some travel to other work bases. The role involves being part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will work closely with other community & inpatient colleagues to provide a comprehensive psychology service to older people with a wide range of complex mental health difficulties and dementia.

You will be contributing & leading on key priorities in psychology services and holding responsibility for management & supervision of other qualified psychology staff.

The role will also involve providing consultation to carers, families & teams, participating in multidisciplinary staff development and contributing to group work.

Undertaking service evaluations & audits across West Kent to enhance service provision of psychological therapies to older people is also a key part of the role.

Part- time/Full time applications considered.

You will join a warm and welcoming psychology service in Kent and Medway which includes over 35 staff comprising of clinical psychologists, music, drama, art therapists, counselling psychologists and assistant psychologists.

Within easy distance of the South Thames Clinical Psychology Training Centre, our service welcomes trainees and takes advantage of post-qualification training courses and events.

Induction.
