Caring for over 7,600 inpatients each year, our extensive network of clinics at 15 local hospitals provides highly-specialist cancer care at almost Apply outpatient appointments annually.
We are currently embarking on an £162 million investment in facilities including a new cancer hospital in the heart of Liverpool due to open next year. Based on the same thriving research and healthcare campus as the University of Liverpool and Royal Liverpool University Hospital, the new hospital will ensure every patient receives truly outstanding care and can access the most advanced treatments and clinical trials for generations to come .
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated occupational therapist who would like the opportunity to develop their skills in cancer and palliative care. This is an exciting time as you would join a specialist therapy service as it moves to our brand new hospital in Liverpool in May 2020
You will be working as part of the AHP Team and the wider Cancer Rehabilitation and Support Team (CReST) to participate in the delivery of a comprehensive occupational therapy service, working with both in patients and outpatients who may have diverse or complex presentation and multiple pathologies.
We are looking for an experienced HCPC registered occupational therapist with good knowledge of occupational therapy in oncology / palliative care or who has relevant experience and is keen to develop their knowledge and skills in this area.. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team and also on your own initiative.
We currently provide a 6 day service within the team and you would be required to work some Saturdays as part of a rota system.

This post will be based at our new hospital in Liverpool which is due to open in May 2020, for candidates wishing to apply who currently live in Liverpool, to assist with the cost of your travel to our Wirral site in the interim, CCC will make a contribution of up to £450* until the post is transferred to our new site . (* pro rata and depending when you commence your employment with the Trust)
