An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Secretary/ Administrator to join our extremely busy department.
We are looking for someone with an approachable, helpful, flexible attitude who enjoys working as part of a team. You should have a good standard of English as well as good communication, administrative, and organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines. Previous secretarial experience is essential and medical terminology knowledge is also advantageous.
The main responsibilities will include triaging and managing referrals to the 2ww and routine services via e-Referral, placing orders on Epic, updating the department's information systems and typing clinical correspondence. A keen eye for detail, typing accuracy, willingness to learn and the ability to pick up new IT systems are therefore essential, as is the ability to prioritise and multi-task. Good communication skills are essential as the role will involve contact with patients, GPs, and colleagues of all levels.
