An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Biomedical Scientist to join HODS in this busy and progressive accredited laboratory.
The successful candidate will contribute to the maintenance and development of the department as new approaches are developed for the diagnosis and management of patients with cancer.
Applicants should possess a science degree, good organisational skills and the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team in a clear and methodical manner. You should have experience in working in a molecular diagnostic service, and have previous experience in the use of real-time PCR and/or FISH. Experience of next-generation sequencing, handling cell-free DNA and neoplastic morphology, plus experience in UKAS accreditation would be advantageous.
