Our physical healthcare services include intermediate care services in Hammersmith & Fulham as part of the Community Independence Service partnership.
Our national, specialist and forensic services include:
- Medium secure services on the St Bernard's Hospital site in Ealing
- Services for people with complex and severe personality disorder at the Cassel Hospital in Richmond
- High secure services at Broadmoor Hospital in Berkshire

We are seeking a Band 5 Occupational Therapist with at least one year post qualifying experience to join our Community Occupational Therapy team in Ealing. We are looking to recruit a new team member who is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of our service users and is passionate about Recovery and Mental Health. This is an opportunity to work within an exciting and diverse area of outer London. You will be based at Ealing Recovery Team East, Avenue House, 43-47 Avenue Rd, Acton, London W3 8NJ. The team working hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm and the trust offers flexible working.
The Ealing East Recovery Team works with adults with mental health conditions to provide innovative and effective support and interventions. The team has recently moved into a Clinical Pathways' model for Psychosis, Complex Depression, Anxiety and Trauma, and Personality Disorder. The team work with service users and carers to help maximise independent functioning, focusing on discharge to less supportive accommodation and actively promoting recovery. Our aim is to enable and empower people to reach their potential and to live fulfilling lives through providing recovery and reablement focused services that yield positive outcomes for our service users and their carers. Using a recovery pathway, we help people to maintain their health and move towards greater autonomy, managing their illness and maintaining their independence in the community.
The role will particularly support service users' access to social inclusion opportunities as part of their recovery pathways. You will work closely with the inpatient team, Recovery College, Employment support, Peer support workers and the local authority to facilitate effective interventions.
You will work alongside a Band 7 occupational therapist, a Band 6 occupational therapist, and multi professional support workers. Your role will involve developing the Occupational Therapy service across the pathways and the provision of OT assessments and interventions in collaboration with the wider MDT. The Occupational Therapists apply the Model of Human Occupation theory to their practise.

We provide a large number of mental and physical health services. Poor physical and mental health is linked and our ambition is for people to have their physical and mental health problems identified, assessed and treated at the same time. Our services include community-based integrated care for people with long-term conditions, public health programmes for children and adults, smoking cessation and a full range of mental healthcare in the community, in hospital and secure settings in west London and at Broadmoor Hospital in Berkshire.
