We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Specialist in Teledermatology to join our dynamic team in the Republic of Ireland.<h2>Job Summary:</h2>The Consultant Specialist in Teledermatology will provide expert dermatological diagnostic assessments to patients through our own teledermatology platform. This role involves diagnosing and advising on treatment for a wide range of skin conditions, offering professional advice, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in dermatology and a passion for leveraging technology to improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will be able to diagnose through medical imaging a wide range of skin conditions including capillary, inflammatory and lesions (including tumoral lesions). To treat patients face to face&nbsp;<h2>Key Responsibilities:</h2><ul><li>Conduct virtual diagnosis of dermatological conditions, including capillary, inflammatory, and lesion-related issues.</li><li>Develop and implement individualised treatment plans for patients, including recommendations for further studies and referrals to specialist services.</li><li>Provide expert advice on skin health, preventive care, and treatment options.</li><li>Provide support for quality control through auditing of teledermatology assessments carried out by other consultants.</li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.</li><li>Stay updated with the latest advancements in dermatology and telemedicine.</li><li>Participate in continuous professional development and training programs.</li><li>Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.</li></ul>Face-to-Face Clinical Duties:<ul><li>Deliver bi-weekly in-person dermatology clinics, initially one day per fortnight, with potential to expand to 2–3 days per fortnight.</li><li>Manage a minimum of 16 patients per clinic session.</li><li>Perform physical examinations and minor dermatological procedures (e.g., biopsies, excisions of benign lesions, cryotherapy) as clinically indicated.</li><li>Interpret histopathology results and integrate findings into patient management plans.</li><li>Ensure continuity of care between telemedicine and in-person services.</li><li>Maintain a safe and compliant clinical environment in line with Irish healthcare regulations.</li></ul>Clinic Locations:<ul><li>East Coast Midlands</li><li>Western Region</li><li>Southern Region of the Republic of Ireland</li></ul><h2>Qualifications:</h2><ul><li>Medical degree with specialisation in Dermatology.</li><li>Specialist registration in Dermatology.</li><li>Valid medical license to practice in the Republic of Ireland.</li><li>Registration with the Irish Medical Council.</li><li>Experience in dermatology, with a focus on teledermatology preferred.</li><li>Proficiency in using telemedicine platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.</li></ul><h2>Benefits:</h2><ul><li>Competitive rate per patient reported.</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development.</li><li>Flexible working hours through remote working.</li><li>Supportive and collaborative work environment.</li><li>Opportunity to agree a pathway for referrals to Consultant’s own clinic for delivery of patient procedures.</li></ul>
