The Trust provides accessible high-quality healthcare for the local people of Cambridge, together with specialist services, dealing with rare or complex conditions for a regional, national and international population.An exciting opportunity has arisen within CUH's CT Scanning department for a full time Clinical Support Worker.Working as part of a small team of Clinical Support Workers your main duties will include welcoming patients, relatives and other staff to the department whilst providing a friendly and safe environment, ensuring privacy and dignity are maintained at all times.You will assist in placing and removing cannulas from patients for examinations and ensure that the clinical area is maintained to comply with infection control policies (e.g. disposals of sharps bins, clinical waste and infectious linen).You will assist the Radiographers and Radiologists in providing an effective service that includes assisting during examinations, manual handling and patient preparation.The post is full time, 37.5 hours per week. Your working hours will initially be 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday where you will work as part of the busy and highly specialised CT team. The role will then be developed further to include evenings, early starts and weekends.Benefits to you
