Job Title: Basic Grade Medical Scientist - Biochemistry Department: Laboratory Reports to: Chief Medical Scientist/Laboratory Manager<h3>Purpose of Role</h3>
Assist in laboratory operations, perform tests, and ensure high-quality biochemistry services under the guidance of senior staff.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>

Contribute to quality management and performance audits.</li><li>
Perform work to meet accreditation standards.</li><li>
Prioritize and manage testing workloads, including on-call duties.</li><li>
Assist with stock management and issue resolution.</li><li>

<h3>Person Specification</h3>
Qualifications:<ul>
<li>
Membership or eligibility for membership with AMLS or equivalent.</li><li>
CORU Registration.</li></ul>
Experience:<ul>
<li>
1+ year in laboratory service training, with Biochemistry experience.</li><li>
Post-qualification experience and on-call rota participation are desirable.</li></ul>
Skills &amp; Abilities:<ul>
<li>
Strong communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>
Adaptability to change and evolving demands.</li></ul>
Knowledge &amp; Understanding:<ul>
<li>
Knowledge of laboratory services, quality control, and relevant legislation.</li><li>
