Job Description
Assistant Director of Nursing
Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client is currently recruiting an ADON for a full-time position in their nursing home in Co Meath. We are keen to receive applications from experienced ADONs & CNMs looking to move to the next level in their career.
The nursing home is run by one of Ireland’s leading nursing home groups with a number of nursing homes located around Ireland.
The key role of the successful candidate is to plays a crucial role in upholding excellence in person-centred care, clinical oversight, and continuous innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage daily clinical operations with empathy and professionalism.
· Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and safety for both residents and staff.
· Drive continuous quality improvement and ensure full compliance with HIQA regulations.
· Support staff development through mentoring and training initiatives.
· Oversee risk management, safeguarding, and the implementation of best practices in elder care.
Essential Qualifications:
· Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI registration.
· Management qualification in health or a related field.
· Evidence of continuous professional development.
· Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in Older Person Care (within the past 6 years).
· At least 3 years of management experience in health or social care.
· Post-registration management qualification.
· Must have a knowledge of Health Act 2007, HIQA guidelines, NMBI Scope of Practice & Code of Professional Conduct and importance of Safeguarding / dementia care
Desirable:
· Postgraduate diploma in Gerontology.
· Additional management qualifications.
· Strong IT and digital skills.
· Awareness of international best practices in elder care.
