Pharmacy Technician County Kilkenny

My client is a family-owned Independent Community Pharmacy based in County Kilkenny who are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join their team in providing excellent customer care and service.

4-5 days per week
No Late nights, Weekends or Bank Holidays

Working alongside a highly skilled team, supporting the Pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions and taking part in daily and monthly duties of the dispensary, while offering expert advice and professional care to our customers. Work closely with the owner and management team to provide an excellent service to the community.


Candidates must have 1-2 years experience and the ability:

1. To prepare and dispense medicinal products in a confident and competent way under the supervision of the Pharmacist.

2. To ensure optimum stock levels are maintained and rotated.

3. To provide advice and help to customers in OTC sales and refer them to trained personnel when required

4. To blister pack medications for community patients and small care homes.

5. To Help prepare the monthly HSE Claim.

6. To work on their own initiative but also as part of the team.

7. To handle paperwork such as invoices

6. To organise their work and have a good eye for detail.

Candidate Profile

Fully Qualified Pharmacy Technician (IPU-recognised qualification or equivalent)
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work well as part of a team in a busy environment
Previous experience working in community pharmacy
Currently living in Ireland and can easily commute to Kilkenny City environs
