Excel Healthcare is currently seeking a compassionate and empathetic Agency Healthcare Assistant to work in care of the elderly for a private Nursing Home in Wexford.

Working shifts are 12hrs and we offer both day and night shifts

Day shifts - €14ph
Night shifts - €17ph

Requirements of this Healthcare Assistant job

• QQI Level 5 Certificate in Healthcare/ Care Skills and Elderly Care or Equivalent
• Valid certificates for Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control, Patient Manual Handling.
• Eligible to work in Ireland, EU passport or valid IRP card.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards.
• Undergo Garda Vetting.

Responsibilities of this Healthcare Assistant job

• Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting residents.
• Assist residents with their personal care needs.
• Assist residents who have limited mobility, or physical / learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided.
• Assist and support other staff.
• Carry out tasks as directed.
• All other reasonable healthcare assistant duties.
