Job Title: Healthcare Assistant - Agency Shifts (Cork: Leamlara & Mallow)

Location: Leamlara & Mallow, Co. Cork

Shift Patterns:

• Day Shifts: 08:00 - 20:00
• Night Shifts: 20:00 - 08:00
• Shifts available Monday to Sunday

Excel Healthcare is proud to partner up with a leading provider of care and support services across Ireland to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join our agency team in Leamlara and Mallow, Co. Cork. These roles are ideal for candidates seeking flexible shift work in supportive and professional care environments.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and support to service users in residential and community settings.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and daily living activities.
• Support service users to maintain independence and quality of life.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to company policies and HIQA standards.

Candidate Requirements

• QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support (or a minimum of 2 completed modules with a commitment to completing the award).
• Permission to work in Ireland ( EU passport, Stamp 2, Stamp 1G, Stamp 4 , LMA5)
• Previous care experience desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts across weekdays and weekends.
