Healthcare Assistant

Excel Healthcare are excited to be recruiting an experienced Healthcare Assistant on behalf of one of our major clients, for a Nursing home located in Navan.

This is a Permanent full time role in a 26 bedded unit including days and night shifts.
This position would suit someone with Nursing home experience,who is passionate about delivering high quality care on a consistent basis.

The ideal Candidate must posses a high standard of Care skills, Excellent communication and a genuine passion for caring for older people.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with all activities of daily living
• Supporting residents with mobility
• Observing and reporting changes in health or behaviour.
• Offering companionship and Encouraging participation in activities and social events.
• Follow infection control and health and safety protocols
• Communicating effectively with residents, families, and the care team
• Provide emotional support to residents and families members
• Accurately documenting care given and observations made whilst on duty
• Provide genuine care at a high standard consistently

Requirement for this Healthcare Assistant:

• Eligible to work in Ireland. EU Passport or valid GNIB
• Relevant healthcare certs; Patient Manual Handling, Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Garda Clearance, HEP B Vaccinations
• FETAC/QQI Level 5 is either completed or in progress
