Job Description
Position: Qualified Social Worker (Adult safeguarding)
Location: Louth or Meath
Contract: Temporary (6-12 months, with potential for extension)
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: HSE pay scale

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join a dedicated Adult Safeguarding Duty Screening Team. We have positions available in Drogheda (Louth) and Navan (Meath).
This is your chance to make a real difference, ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of at-risk adults in a crucial frontline role.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of the Adult Safeguarding Duty Screening Team, you will play a crucial role in protecting and advocating for at-risk adults by:
- Screening and assessing safeguarding concerns related to elder abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and coercive control.
- Conducting risk assessments, triaging cases, and making recommendations for further intervention.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, community partners, and legal services.
- Engaging with families, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Providing guidance and supporting decision-making based on national safeguarding policies and frameworks.
- Maintaining clear, professional, and accurate documentation and case notes.
Essential Criteria:
- CORU registered Social Worker (essential).
- Proven experience in adult safeguarding, social work leadership, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of HSE Safeguarding Policy, risk assessment, and intervention strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Full clean driving licence and access to transport is essential
- Valid Garda and overseas clearances (if applicable).
