Medical Assessor

The Medical Review and Assessment Service is a section within the Department of Social Protection (DSP) headed by the Chief Medical Officer. The section confirms medical eligibility for all illness, disability and carer income support payments.

The Department are now seeking additional Medical Assessors to join the Medical Review and Assessment Service. These positions offer an exciting opportunity for ambitious, enthusiastic and committed professionals with a strong dedication to serving the public interest.

The role will involve the provision of impartial medical opinion in determining entitlements to the various medical related schemes operated by DSP. They may also participate in relevant medical research projects and educational activities.
