Job Description
Work with Sales and Proposals teams on major projects to understand project costs, design specifications, and customer requirements
Participate in the tendering process assisting tendering department in preparing bids and estimating labour
Be familiar with the contract, and all addendums to the contract, relevant to the project
Managing and supervising ,Project Managers, Installation Teams to execute the required project scope
Managing and forecasting spend to ensure that the work is kept to budget and on time
Selecting & Managing Subcontractors on our projects as required
Develop a detailed program for works including sub-contractors and other disciplines
Analysis of labour resource requirements for multiple projects and placement and control of labour and associated costs.
Regular site visits monitoring works progress and ensuring the quality of work is to the required standard.
Ensuring that every member of the Project Team is aware of their roles and responsibilities associated within the project
Communicate with company Directors on project progress.
Required to represent the Company at meetings with, Clients, Subcontractors and suppliers as required.
Monitor the Quality Assurance / Snagging System during the construction stage of the project and post completion
Take an active role in the recruitment and selection process as and when required.
Manage projects to ensure key milestones are met whilst maintaining profit margins
Work with the commercial team to identify and manage commercial and contractual risks.
Ensuring Health and Safety standards are maintained to the highest level
Liaise with senior management to provide regular updates on project progress and financial health
Helping create RAMS with onsite Management teams
Provide leadership and support to on-site teams
To manage the effective day to day management of the contract(s) from inception to final account settlement
To supervise & train less experienced supervisors and engineers
Experience:
5 Years demonstrable Project Management experience (mandatory)
Previous experience working as a Mechanical Contracts Manager ideally with a Design and Build Contractor.
Ideally hold a relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Sound knowledge of Mechanical Services Project Management and a good understanding of the technical, commercial and contractual processes involved.
Good understanding of HVAC systems
A team player with a high level of self-motivation and organisational ability.
Strong leadership skills.
Analytical and methodical in approach to problem solving.
People management and staff supervision skills.
Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
Valid Driver's licence (compulsory)
Have worked in high profile, high safety environments such as Data Centers & Bio Pharma sites
