Pharmacy Technician

Excel Healthcare Recruitment is seeking to recruit a Pharmacy Technician to join our client's team in Bunclody, Wexford. Our client who is experiencing growth in the industry is keen to welcome a motivated individual to complement their dynamic team.

As Pharmacy Technician, you will support the Managing Pharmacist in the dispensary in a busy and challenging environment. Working to agreed operating procedures within the pharmacy to maintain the highest ethical standards and deliver excellent customer care.

Location: Bunclody, Wexford

Hours: 40

Contract: Maternity Contract

Salary Range: 20€ per hour - depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Managing Pharmacist in a bustling dispensary, adhering to established operating procedures to ensure the highest standards of ethics and customer service.
• Receive, record, and assemble prescriptions accurately, notifying Pharmacists of any changes in drug therapy and potential interactions between medications.
• Provide customer service at the counter, dispensing over-the-counter medicines and other pharmacy products as needed.
• Handle specific over-the-counter medicine requests using WWHAM questioning technique and make suitable recommendations, consulting the Pharmacist when necessary.
• Maintain the dispensary's smooth operation, including computer record-keeping and up-to-date paperwork in compliance with company protocols.

Requirements:

• Completion of IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies.
