Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM)

Location: Nursing Home (various locations across Ireland)

Reports to: Director of Nursing (DON) / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Role Summary:

Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client; a well known Nursing Home Group, are currently recruiting Clinical Nurse Managers for positions in Dublin and Kildare.

The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for leading and managing the nursing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to residents. The CNM plays a key role in clinical governance, staff supervision, and ensuring compliance with HIQA standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Oversight:
    • Supervise and support nursing and care staff in delivering safe, effective care.
    • Monitor clinical practices and ensure adherence to care plans and policies.
    • Participate in the development and review of individualised care plans.
  • Leadership & Staff Management:
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff.
    • Assist in staff training, development, and performance management.
    • Support the DON/ADON in managing rosters and staffing levels.
  • Quality & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and relevant legislation.
    • Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and incident reporting.
  • Resident & Family Engagement:
    • Foster a compassionate, respectful environment for residents.
    • Communicate effectively with residents and their families.
    • Address concerns and ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, GPs, and external agencies.
    • Promote a collaborative approach to care delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMBI registration.
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-registration experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and best practices in elder care.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Previous experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting is highly desirable.
