Job Description
Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Type: Full-Time 35 hour working week.
Location: South Dublin- Clondalkin and Tallaght.
Salary: Aligned with HSE pay scales for Staff grade Occupational Therapist's
Excel Recruitment are recruiting motivated Staff grade Occupational Therapist's on behalf of Primary Care teams in Clondalkin or Tallaght. We currently have two exciting opportunities available within a well-established Primary Care Team in South Dublin:
Staff Grade Occupational Therapist vacancy on the Paediatric Team
Staff Grade Occupational Therapist vacancy on the Adult Team
Whether your passion lies in supporting children and their families or working with adults and older people to promote independence and well-being, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions for service users.
- Manage a caseload and work collaboratively with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans to support clients' independence and well-being.
- Perform home visits to assess living environments and recommend adaptations to enhance daily functioning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care and rehabilitation services.
- Participate in clinical meetings, case conferences, and multidisciplinary collaborations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with professional standards.
- Support service development through audits, quality improvement initiatives, and training activities.
Requirements:
- CORU Registration (or eligibility for registration).
- A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification (including applicants graduating in 2025).
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous community experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.
- Valid driver's license and access to own vehicle for travel
