Job Description

Cpl Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Staff Nurse to join an established approved mental health centre in South Dublin.
Our client is a 130 bed inpatient mental health service providing a spectrum of neuropsychiatric services to adults with a range of serious and enduring mental health needs such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, a

nd Huntington’s Diseases, as well as individuals with early onset dementias, schizophrenia, and mood disorders. Here the focus is on creating a therapeutic environment by using recovery oriented clinical practices and therapeutic interventions, which are evidence-based to enable and support patients to achieve their highest level of functioning and quality of life.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the successful candidate will be joining an established MDT and will be responsible for providing a wide range of physical health monitoring and treatment services to the residents, will participate in emergency management as required and participate in and deliver training and education relating to general health nurse monitoring.

Candidate Specifications:

  • Registered General or Registered Psychiatric Nurse on the live relevant NMBI register.
  • At least 3 years post-registration nursing experience.
  • Experience working in adult mental health services is an advantage.
  • Experience in Venepuncture/ Phlebotomy and ECG monitoring, and knowledge of primary care practice.
  • Experience in the management of long-term conditions, e.g., COPD, diabetes, CHD, etc.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.
