Role Title: Urgent Care Physician - Locum ( weekend only )
Role Location: Galway

Would you like to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a vibrant and team-focused environment? We are looking for a number of doctors to work weekend locum shifts in our Galwy clinic.

Role Purpose

• Provide care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care presentations
• Treat patients who attend the clinic for consultation, aged from 12 months
• Minor injuries; including: sprains, fractures and wounds
• Minor illnesses
• Initial interpretation of x-rays and ECGs
• Facilitating referrals to ED/ specialists where indicated

Education & Experience

• Registered with the Irish Medical Council.
• Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in general practice and a minimum of 2 years recent urgent care/ emergency medicine experience.
• Training in emergency medicine, general practice or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial.
• 6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable.
• Flexibility across a 7-day roster.
• BLS
