Job Description

Cpl Healthcare are delighted to announce that we are actively recruiting Social Care Workers for a full-time permanent position in Grangebeg, Kildare.

Our client is dedicated to supporting people with physical / intellectual disabilities, autism, and other support needs to live an ordinary life, a life like any other in a community-based environment.

Our client works across 12 residential communities and 4-day services nationwide, offering unique, person-centred care that transforms lives. We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and passionate professionals to join a brilliant team of social and care staff in supporting adults toward independent living and community integration.

Requirements:

  • Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Heath or Social Care.
  • Have 1 years’ experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities. 
  • Experience working with challenging behaviours
  • Strong working knowledge of legislation in place to protect vulnerable adults
  • Applicants must hold a full, clean manual driver's license and availability of own car for this post.
  • An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
  • An ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to the further development of plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of individuals supported.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
