Job Title: Consultant Radiologist - MRI & Cardiac Imaging
West Of Ireland

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in MRI and Cardiac Imaging to join our growing Radiology Team in the West of Ireland
The successful applicant will contribute to a high-quality diagnostic service, with a focus on advanced MRI and cardiovascular imaging, while also supporting general radiology services as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and report on high-quality MRI studies, including complex cardiac MRI.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings including cardiac and thoracic oncology MDTs.
* Collaborate with cardiology, cardiac surgery, and other clinical specialties to provide integrated diagnostic services.
* Contribute to general radiology workload including plain film, CT, and ultrasound (if appropriate).
* Supervise and support radiographers, junior doctors, and trainees.
* Participate in the on-call rota for general radiology (if applicable).
* Ensure all reporting is performed in a timely, accurate, and clinically relevant manner.
* Contribute to audit, clinical governance, and service improvement initiatives.
Essential Qualifications:
* Full IMC registration or in the process
* FRCR (or equivalent specialist radiology qualification).
* Completion of specialist training in radiology (CCT or equivalent) or within 6 months of obtaining it.
Experience & Skills:
* Substantial experience in MRI, including cardiac MRI interpretation.
* Proven participation in relevant MDT meetings.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* High level of clinical radiology knowledge and reporting accuracy.
Desirable:
* Fellowship or advanced training in Cardiac Imaging.
* Experience in research, audit, and quality improvement projects.
* Teaching experience with trainees, medical students, or allied professionals.
