Consultant in Emergency Medicine
Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda
Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda is seeking an experienced and motivated Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join its dynamic Emergency Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of emergency care services in one of the busiest EDs in the country, serving a large and growing regional population.

What You'll Do:
Lead the Emergency Team: Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to NCHDs and other team members in the Emergency Department.
Deliver Timely, Expert Care: Ensure high standards of care using evidence-based practice in a busy and varied emergency setting.
Support Service Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of initiatives to improve ED operations and patient flow.
Promote Safety & Quality: Lead and participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
Work Collaboratively: Liaise with medical, surgical, ICU, and hospital management teams to ensure integrated care delivery.
What We're Looking For:
Extensive experience as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine.
Strong leadership, teaching, and mentoring abilities.
A passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
IMC Specialist Registration in Emergency Medicine (or eligibility).
Location: Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: €231,215 - €277,736 per annum
