Senior Cardiac Physiologist - Limerick Location: Limerick, Ireland Salary Range: €54,028 - €70,746 Job Type; Full time Permanent

Overview: TTM Healthcare Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading healthcare provider in Limerick to recruit a Senior Cardiac Physiologist for a full-time permanent role within their Non-Invasive Cardiology Department .

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role in delivering high-quality cardiac diagnostics and patient care.

Role Summary

The Senior Cardiac Physiologist is responsible for providing expert patient care and leadership within the department. This includes the performance and supervision of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures, training and development of staff, and ensuring the highest clinical standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

Report directly to the Chief I Cardiac Physiologist.

Lead and supervise cardiac physiologists within the department.

Ensure clinical and patient care standards are maintained.

Oversee staff orientation, ongoing training, and evaluations.

Perform and train others in non-invasive procedures including:

Echocardiography

ECG

Holter and BP monitoring

Stress ECG

Pacemaker and ICD follow-up/programming

Maintain and develop departmental protocols and policy manuals.

Ensure timely delivery of procedures and accurate patient records.

Monitor and report equipment functionality; ensure maintenance compliance.

Maintain infection control and a safe working environment.

Participate in quality improvement and service development initiatives.

Support electrical safety awareness and compliance in the department.

Attend meetings, report incidents, and support investigations as required.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Personal & Professional Expectations

Attend all mandatory training and maintain a professional portfolio.

Be a positive ambassador for the profession and the organisation.

Mentor new staff and students as a preceptor/supervisor.

Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.

Educational & Qualification Requirements

BSc in Clinical Measurement or Certificate in Medical Physics & Physiological Measurement (DIT Kevin Street) or equivalent.

Associate membership with the Society for Cardiological Science and Technology (UK) or equivalent.

Commitment to sit the IBHRE/BHRS exam in the future.

Experience & Skills Required

Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in a Cardiac Department.

Advanced Life Support (ALS) certified.

Strong knowledge and clinical competence in non-invasive cardiology.

Effective leadership, time management, and organisational skills.

Clear, compassionate communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Strong team collaboration and service-user focus.

Flexibility Requirement

This role requires a high degree of flexibility to meet departmental and organisational needs.
