Resident Medical Officer – Rehabilitation Unit

A newly established, community-based rehabilitation service is seeking an experienced Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to join a dedicated medical team. The role involves comprehensive medical assessments, medication management, daily ward rounds, and close collaboration with nursing and therapy teams. The RMO will contribute to integrated care planning for patients with ongoing medical and moderate rehabilitation needs, and work under the guidance of a Consultant Geriatrician.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality medical care to patients in a 25–50 bed rehabilitation unit.

Conduct admissions, monitor patient progress, manage medications, and document care plans.

Collaborate with nursing and allied health professionals as part of an integrated care team.

Requirements:

Registration with the Irish Medical Council

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in geriatric or rehabilitation medicine is preferred.
