Job Description
Pharmacy Technician Opportunity
A leading private hospital is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This permanent role involves working in both the Dispensary and Aseptic Compounding Unit, with responsibilities including prescription dispensing, medication stock control, and preparation of specialized medications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Dispense individual and outpatient prescriptions
* Maintain pharmacy stock, including controlled substances
* Assist with aseptic compounding and extemporaneous preparations
* Liaise with nursing staff regarding patient medication
* Contribute to the development of protocols and training of new staff
* Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
Requirements:
* Essential: Pharmaceutical Technician's Diploma or equivalent
* Desirable: Hospital pharmacy experience
Skills:
* Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
* High level of initiative and organizational skills
