Responsibilities of this Agency Psychiatric Nurse job:

• Conduct mental health assessments to evaluate patient's emotional, physical and psychological conditions and form suitable care plans.

• Work closely with patients to evaluate progress, helping implement care plans and monitoring for signs of distress, improvement, etc.

• Administer psychiatric medications as prescribed, monitoring for side effects and ensuring correct dosages.

• Build therapeutic relationships with patients, providing emotional support and encouraging healthy coping skills.

• Maintain accurate, detailed patient records of any assessments, treatments, progress, incidents etc.

Requirements of this Agency Psychiatric Nurse job:

• Registration with the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

• Valid permission to work in Ireland.
• Hold all relevant healthcare certifications and hold a degree in Psychiatric or General Nursing with a postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric Nursing.

• Completed Mental Health Act training.

• Have strong communication and crisis intervention skills.
