Registered Nurse

Excel Healthcare is currently recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse for a public hospital in Portlaoise, Co. Laois. This part-time or full-time position based in Portlaoise offers opportunities for great flexibility in your working hours.

Responsibilities for this Registered Nurse role include:

• Provide complete nursing care that prioritises patient safety, comfort, and dignity.
• Administer medication and treatments as directed by the medical team and in accordance with HSE recommendations and regulations.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, progress, and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Keep up to date with nursing practices and advancements through continuous professional development and training.
• Provide health education and support to patients and their families regarding treatments, procedures, and disease management.

Requirements for this Registered Nurse role include:

• Possess a recognised nursing degree or diploma.
• Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and have an active Pin.
• Hold appropriate work authorisation to work in Ireland (e.g., EU/EEA citizenship or a valid work visa).
• Have experience within various acute settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in English.
• Display necessary nursing skills, including patient care, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Provide professional references and undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.
