Social Care Worker, Under 18's Residential Service

Role Overview:

Join our dedicated team in providing care, protection, and support to vulnerable young individuals. Collaborate with professionals to create tailored interventions that empower young people to thrive in their home environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advocate for and support young individuals
• Address trauma and manage challenging behaviors
• Promote overall well-being across various aspects of life
• Communicate effectively with families and external agencies
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records
• Encourage youth participation in decision-making
• Attend team and agency meetings
• Implement Focus Ireland’s policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Care or equivalent
• Proven experience in social care, child protection, key working, and care planning
• Experience working with marginalized groups, particularly adolescents
• Full clean driving license
• Availability for a 24/7 shift roster, including nights and 12-hour shifts

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention
