Optometrist – Part time – Up to £65,000 pro rata – Hampshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen in a leading Hampshire Eye Hospital, for an experienced Optometrist to join their highly skilled and supportive team.

This is a permanent position offering generous salary and bonus, which is reviewed annually. You’ll have access to brilliant company benefits and private healthcare. Ideally, you will commit to working 3 days a week (30 hours)

Role Responsibilities:

· You will carry out pre and post-operative consultations, assessing the suitability of patients for treatment, as integral part of a multi disciplinary team working alongside consultants

· Carry out examinations that are associated with refractive, cataract, glaucoma and retinal surgeries

· Run acute and follow up clinics post-surgery for all patients

· Provide health advice and support to patients attending the hospital

· Provide first line clinical advice to patients and follow the appropriate means of referral to a medical practitioner if necessary

Qualifications:

Current GOC registration as a fully qualified optometrist

Skills Required:

· Experienced and confident working as an optometrist in a refractive, high street or hospital environment

· Experienced in using patient administration systems and electronic medical record systems

· Experience of working to conversion targets and other KPIs within Vision Correction

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment

· Committed to maintaining professional standards and ongoing learning
