We are seeking a Senior Medical Scientist with expertise in Clinical Chemistry to join our team in Dublin. The successful candidate will work in a busy clinical laboratory, providing a high standard of diagnostic laboratory services to patients.

Responsibilities:

- Perform a range of diagnostic tests using laboratory equipment and techniques to support patient care - Interpret laboratory results and provide advice to clinicians on appropriate courses of action - Develop and maintain laboratory procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency of testing - Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements - Supervise and train junior staff members in laboratory techniques and procedures - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and departments to provide a seamless service to patients - Participate in research and development activities to improve laboratory services and contribute to the wider scientific community

Requirements:

- A degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent - At least 3 years of experience in Clinical Chemistry - Full CORU Registration - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
