Resident Medical Officer (RMO)

About Us:
Healthcare Direct (HCD), Ireland's leading private provider of long-term care, is expanding its post-acute rehabilitation services. We are partnering with Mowlam Healthcare to deliver integrated, age-friendly rehabilitation, aligned with HSE's Age Friendly Health Service initiative.

About:
Level 2 and 3 rehabilitation for patients referred from University Hospital Limerick and Ennis General Hospital. This 25-bed unit supports patients with ongoing medical needs and rehabilitation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients.
• Conduct initial assessments, monitor progress, and adjust care plans.
• Collaborate with nurses, HSCPs, and GPs.
• Perform procedures (IV cannulations, medication review).
• Ensure thorough medical documentation and discharge planning.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies.

Lead RMO Duties:

• Coordinate medical cover and act as team contact.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in either - Emergency Medicine/Surgery/Medicine
• Active IMC
• Available to start in October 2025
• Valid ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS certification

Hours:

• 24/7 onsite cover with a rotating roster (including nights/weekends).
• Typical hours 8am - 5pm and then 5pm - 8am.
