Our client a well-established Hospital in Dublin is currently recruiting a Facilities Manager. Successful candidate will ensure the efficient operation of facilities, manage maintenance activities and lead a team of employees to support a safe, functional and welcoming environment that aligns with the organisations mission and ethos.
This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and coordination of both planned, preventative and reactive maintenance for all premises under the Hospital.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Hospital CEO, the Facilities Manager will be responsible for the following:
Strategic
* Liaise with the hospital projects department in the research planning and development of minor hospital projects including regular ward refurbishment and the installation of new or replacement equipment.
* Utilise financial and other information to plan and deliver agreed levels of service.
* Contribute to the overall strategic and operational functioning of the hospital as a Member of the Hospital Management Team
* Assists CEO in drafting and delivery of the Development and Control Plan for the hospital.
* Contribute to the effective use of resources and smooth hospital operations.
* Co-ordinated maintenance between programmes.
* Assist the Hospital CEO in implementing corrective programs to adhere to financial budgets.
* Maintain and develop all computerised building management systems and maintenance systems utilised by the hospital or other system that may be introduced by the hospital.

Essential Education Requirements
* Degree level in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a full knowledge of associated regulation
Essential Experience
* 5 years experience in the planning and supervision of maintenance procedures in a hospital or a similar large organisation.
* Have a proven track record of management and leadership, most likely in facilities and / or contracts / projects.
Desirable Experience
* Experience in Building Construction and Maintenance
* Building Construction and Maintenance Building Regulations Electrical and Mechanical Systems
Essential Skills
* Strong Project Management skills
* Satisfactory working knowledge of Health and Safety and workplace regulations
