ICU Nurse - Surgical Cardiothoracic specialism

Cpl Healthcare are delighted to have partnered with The Mater Private Network Cork to recruit experienced Cardio Thoracic Surgical ICU nurses for a brand new cardiac ICU in Cork City. The hospital boasts 65 inpatient rooms and multiple outpatient services and is continually undergoing expansion including the delivery of their new cardiothoracic service and ICU in 2024.

The successful candidates will be part of Ireland’s top private hospital network which includes two acute hospitals, a radiation oncology centre, two day-hospitals and three outpatient clinics , located throughout the country. The network delivers the full range of healthcare specialties including cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic and spine, emergency and out-patient services.

To be considered for the role, interested applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Registered general nurse in the process of registering with or on the live register with the NMBI.
• 3+ years post qualification experience with a minimum of 1 years recent and relevant experience in a large hospital CT Surgical ICU setting.
• Support through the RCSI aptitude test is available for International nurses with NMBI Decision Letters.
• Nurses requiring a work permit are required to have 5+ years post graduate experience (for permit processing purposes)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrable commitment to patient safety and quality
• Ability to work in a dynamic and intense environment that requires quick thinking and excellent analytical and assessment skills
• Ability to work on their own initiative and to be self motivated
