Radiographer

Our client, a leading provider in mobile medical imaging and the only fully licensed mobile x-ray service in Ireland, is currently seeking a Radiographer for the Dublin region.

Our client provides a community based radiology service to nursing homes, hospices, private homes and intellectual disability centres to name a few.

You will

• Provide a quality service ensuring patients are treated with equality, courtesy, kindness, and confidentiality.
• Drive to each location to perform mobile imaging x-ray examinations in community settings.
• Adhere to radiation principles for radiation protection, including justification, optimisation (ALARA) and dose constraints/limits.
• Understand S.I.30 and S.I.256, Council directive 96/29 Euratom Basic safety standards for the protection of health workers and the general public against the dangers arising from Ionising Radiation.
• Follow radiography protocols and local rules and maintain a high standard of Radiography.
• Liaising with Consultant Radiologists and referring Physicians
• Participate in continued professional development
• Demonstrate ability to manage clinical and non-clinical situations.
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and with non-radiographic staff.
• To take responsibility for the general cleanliness, tidiness and safety of the equipment in line with current infection control procedures.

You will need:

• BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
• CORU Registered
• Full driving license - ESSENTIAL 
• Minimum of 2-3 years post qualification experience in a broad range of examinations
• Qualification must be recognised by the Irish Institute of Radiography.
